Next time you’re walking down the road, look up. What do you see?
There’s a whole world out there we often ignore – though not deliberately. Most of the time, you’re not even aware of it’s existence. But it’s integral to the way you live your life.
Power lines, splaying endlessly into the distance. Aerials and antennas. Guttering and piping. It’s a reminder that we owe our comfortable existence to thousands of tiny miracles, millions of small events which mean we can live in comfort, warmth, with access to electricity and running water.
Perhaps you are overvaluing what you don’t have and undervaluing what you do.
So, when the burdens of life seem heavy, just take a moment to look around, and be grateful you’re not surrounded by chaos. It’s really not so bad.
You owe it to yourself and those around you to spend your time doing something useful, productive and fulfilling. If you focus on that, things will fall into place.
