Learning through osmosis? | 023/100

Unfortunately, we can’t absorb knowledge the way water moves through a cell membrane. In fact, ‘learning’ actually means a whole lot of ‘doing’: talking, scribbling, thinking, copying, recalling, debating…

We get better at stuff through taking action.

“I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it.”

It’s not enough to just try and ingest information from an open textbook, vacantly watching a YouTube video or listening to someone talk about it. You’ve got to be involved and engaged in the activity.
