Hemingway’s timeless wisdom on reading. | 80/100

“There is no friend as loyal as a book.”

Ernest Hemingway said that. I think he is dead right.

Whenever I go on holiday, I try and get through a book a day. It’s perfectly doable (given the book, of course – and what you’re up to).

It’s always a potent reminder of just how important reading is to my life. The chance to absorb so much wisdom, to have access to the actual thoughts and feeling of some of the greatest minds in history… It’s like nothing else.

So, take some time to reconnect with literature – and rediscover man’s true best friend: a good book.
